Viking-themed Survivors-like game
Viking Survivors is a premium action game for PC developed by Family Devs. It is an action roguelike set in the world of Viking warriors up against a horde of vicious monsters and demonic creatures. Players will take up arms as they fight against this evil threat and forge a path to victory and glory.
Inspired by the massively popular Vampire Survivors game, Viking Survivors boasts simple and intuitive controls complemented by RPG-like progression and roguelike elements for added unpredictability. Newcomers can try this demo version to get a preview of what they can expect gameplay-wise.
Viking warrior
Viking Survivors takes place during ancient Scandinavia when the legendary Viking warriors ruled and roamed. You play as one of these famed fighters as you set forth on a perilous journey to protect your home from an invading horde of monsters that mysteriously appeared. Slay your enemies, grow stronger with each battle, and find a way to achieve victory against overwhelming odds.
There are three game modes in this game and the first is Survivors Mode wherein you need to last 30 minutes in battle to face the final boss. The second is Roguelike Mode. Here you'll sail the seas to face different monsters and deal with random scenarios in a procedurally generated world. Lastly, there's Infinite Mode to test your skills and see how long you can fight.
There are multiple characters to unlock with unique weapons and strengths. Combine them with different abilities as you level up to create unique builds that suit your playstyle. All that said, the gameplay experience is rather bland and uninspired. It's still fun to play but gets boring and repetitive after a while since there's nothing here that you haven't experienced in other games before.
Dim warrior
There is such an abundance of Survivors-like games these days that Viking Survivors feels very much the same as others and doesn't really stand out in any meaningful way. It has a solid foundation but needs a lot more to help make it more interesting and engaging. It's worth checking out and playing. Just don't expect anything new or revolutionary that hasn't been done already by others.
